Script Cutter (build 2026-10-16)
================================

Thank you for choosing Script Cutter.

INSTALL

Mac: Double click "Install Script Cutter.command".
If macOS says it was "Not Opened": click Done, open
System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security,
click Open Anyway next to the installer, then Open Anyway again.
            Macs only ask this once.

Windows: Double click "Install Script Cutter.bat".
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info,
then Run anyway. If the installer will not start at all, use
            ScriptCutter-Windows-Setup.exe from backtime.tools instead.
The first time Script Cutter reads audio on Windows it
downloads its own audio tool (ffmpeg, about 30 MB, once).

OR, either computer: install "ScriptCutter.zxp" with a free ZXP
installer (for example the aescripts + aeplugins ZXP Installer,
or Anastasis ZXP Installer): open the ZXP installer and drag
ScriptCutter.zxp onto it. No security warning, no script.
Use ONE way. If you switch, remove the other copy first (the
installers warn you when they find one).

Then quit Premiere Pro completely, open it again, and go to
Window > Extensions > Script Cutter.

You need a subscription or a running free trial: the panel stays locked
until then. Every plan starts with a 7 day free trial with every tool open.
Your card is taken when the trial starts and charged when it ends; cancel
from your Gumroad receipt before then and you pay nothing.

UPDATING FROM AN EARLIER BUILD

Installing a new build replaces the Script Cutter folder, and older builds
kept the pictures for captions and graphic cards inside that folder. So in a
project where you placed captions or cards with an EARLIER build, Premiere
will say "Missing media" for those pictures after you update. Place the
captions or cards again to fix them. Captions and cards placed with this
build or a later one are kept in your user folder
  (.script-cutter-cache) and survive every update.

Click Sign in in the panel and use the email you subscribed with (we
email you a link, no password). Or click "I have a licence key" and
paste the key from your purchase email. It looks like
  SC-PR-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXX. The panel remembers it.
Script Cutter needs the internet to confirm your subscription and to run
  anything that uses AI.

YOUR PLAN

During the 7 day trial every tool is open, with 5 hours of transcription
and an AI allowance. After it, transcription and the AI tools in
your plan are included; Settings > Account shows how much of this
month's allowance is left, and it resets on the 1st. Tools outside your
plan carry a crown and the plan that includes them.

WORK ON A COPY

Script Cutter edits your timeline. Duplicate a sequence before trying a
tool on work you cannot redo.
